Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is a landlocked country located in Central Europe. It is bordered by Germany to the west, Poland to the north, Slovakia to the east and Austria to the south. The capital and largest city is Prague. The official language is Czech and the population is around 10.7 million. The economy is heavily industrialized and based on exports of machinery, transportation equipment, and consumer goods. The country has a rich cultural heritage, with famous historical sites such as Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and St. Vitus Cathedral. The Czech Republic is also known for its beer and traditional cuisine, such as dumplings and roast pork. It was formed in 1993, after the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia.
